 Joanne M. Williams, CPA, CFE Director of Forensic Accounting at Nussbaum Yates Berg Klein & Wolpow LLP
Joanne Williams joined Nussbaum Yates & Wolpow, PC in 2004 with over 15 years of experience in public and private accounting. A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology and a licensed Certified Public Accountant since 1993 she was awarded the designation of “Certified Fraud Examiner” (CFE) by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners in 1997. Mrs. Williams’ years of experience includes accounting and auditing, tax, and fraud investigations in a broad range of industries including distribution, manufacturing, health care, not-for-profit, real estate, retail, service, transportation and SEC companies. She has extensive experience in contractor and forensic accounting and previously worked at national and major regional accounting firms. Mrs. Williams has lectured on various topics including auditing standards, fraud investigations and forensic accounting. She is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. She received a Mentoring Achievement Award from the Mentoring Partnership of Long Island in January 2005, and is currently the administrator of a Mentoring Program at an elementary school in her community that she helped create in September 2005.

Steve Levine
is a charter member of this chapter, and has served as a V.P. of
this chapter and as Chairman and President of the New York City
chapter. For more than twenty years, Steve continues to serve as
Director of Labor Law Compliance for the NYC School Construction
Authority, the agency that builds and manages the construction and
renovation of New York City's public school buildings. He is also
Adjunct Professor at the Harry Van Arsdale, Jr., Center for Labor
Studies, Empire State S.U.NY. He also serves on the Board of
Directors of the Society of Professional Investigators. Steve is
also the President of the B'nai B'rith Housing Foundation, Inc., an
IRS 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization that provides grants in
support of housing and ancillary services for the elderly in New
York State, and he serves as Vice President of the Nathan I. Nagler
Queens B'nai B'rith House, a 190 unit H.U.D. senior housing
building. During the decade of the 1980's, Steve served as State
Mediator / Arbitrator with the agency then known as the New York
State Mediation Board, now a part of the New York State Public
Employment Relations Board.
